Five-Year Plans

Every student upon entering McPherson High School chooses a five-year academic plan of study. McPherson High School offers five-year plans in at least seven different areas for both university preparation and tech preparation. The fifth year of all plans are individualized for students.

We strongly encourage EVERY McPherson High School student to pursue a fifth year, which is with a post-secondary institution or as an apprentice. This education may be in a university, technical college, vocational school or community college. Counselors work with students in selecting the five-year plans, and in planning for the transition from high school to post-secondary education.
