MHS soccer team 1-2 in tourney

WICHITA -- McPherson High's soccer team grabbed a 1-0 halftime lead over Wichita South Saturday in the consolation championship game.But the Titans came back with three unanswered goals to pull away to a 3-1 victory in their own tournament.The loss dropped the Bullpups to 1-2, and they stay on the road Tuesday by going to Goddard.MHS had taken a 1-0 lead into the break on a nice play, with Beth Biehler taking a pass from Grace Rizza to make the deposit.South, though, came back strong after the break to come away with the win."We played well," MHS coach Jim Post said. "It was the same story as the other games. We had opportunities, but we just didn't finish. Once we start to finish, we're going to be all right."
