District Honor Band

Congratulations to the following MHS Band students who were accepted into the South Central District Honor Band after auditions last Saturday, November 5th in Andover, Kansas:

Lisa Hall (mallets)
Michael Holman (2nd chair sax)
Robb Krehbiel (4th chair trumpet)
Julia Snell (1st chair flute)
Joel Wagoner (1st chair sax)

These students will rehearse with a nationally known director on December 3rd and give a concert that evening in Wichita on the campus of WSU. Then they will have the opportunity to audition for State Honor Band in Salina on January 7th. Making it into State Honor Band is one of the highest accomplishments a high school student can achieve in Band.

All of the 9 students who auditioned for District Band spent hours of time practicing and working with their private instructors preparing for this experience. They represented MHS with pride and excellence.
