Principal's Comments

Welcome to the 2009/10 school year at McPherson High School. I chose to come to MHS because of its reputation as a very good school. That reputation has proven to be accurate. My early observations lead me to believe not only is MHS a good school, but one that has the potential to be a great school, one of the very best in Kansas.

Our staff is here to help all students reach their potential, whatever that might be. A common theme throughout this year in faculty and department meetings will address “the purpose of school”. We will be analyzing this phrase to ensure we are doing what is necessary to prepare all students not only for the college experience, but also for whatever they wish to do after graduation.

McPherson High School is rich in tradition. With high expectations for students and staff, and a desire to be the best, I am excited about our future. We wish you all the best, and hope all of our students reap the rewards of attending this outstanding school.
