Most of the documents in the 2008 Kansas Special Education Process Handbooks are in PDF and are readable with Adobe Reader. Acrobat Reader is free software that allows users to view and print Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files on all major computer platforms. Within Adobe Reader is a search function that will enable you to search all PDF documents on the disk or within a folder on your computer. Search is accessible through either a picture of binoculars, or through pressing Shift-Ctrl-F. The search screen should ask you "Where would you like to search?" You may select "All PDF Documents in" and then, using the drop down box, select either the CD, or the folder you have copied the files into ("Browse for location" allows you to select a specific folder.)
