The purpose of the In-service Plan is to provide a written professional
growth plan as well as an alternative to college hours for re-certification
through professional development activities to be completed by the
Professional during the specified period ranging from one to five
years.
This plan is
available to all certified personnel in the district, including
certified substitute teachers, provided they complete and file an
approved Professional Development Plan (PDP) and that completion
of the plan is validated for credit by the Professional Development
Council (PDC) and the McPherson Board of Education.

We now have a new Inservice Validation Form, click on the link below then type in your account name, with no password. Click here to download instructions for the new PDC system.
You will be able to see the last 6 items that you submitted and the status of those...then click on NEW and fill out the form. Use the Exit button or the Log out button to leave the application. Your form will be saved. For your account name please email Linda Swinehart or Lois Edwards.

II points you will need to email Lois
Edwards for the form with the name of the in-service that
you are requesting level II points for. Then, the form will
be emailed to you to print out and have your building principal
sign and return to Lois Edwards.

INFORMATION
ON PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLANS (PDP)
A PDP must
be on file for each certified staff member under contract with USD
418. The PDP shall be submitted to the Professional Development
Council (PDC) to be acted on at their next scheduled meeting. PDP's
are written as a five-year plan and should, for the most part, be
completed upon renewal of their certificate. To request the appropriate form please email Lois Edwards .
All plans shall be submitted to the principal on the Professional
Development Plan form. The principal shall sign the PDP indicating
review and approval of that plan.
The principal shall forward all PDP's to Lois Edwards within ten
working days (excluding school holidays) from the time the plan
is submitted.
A substitute teacher, employed for any period of time by the district,
may participate in the district's in-service plan. A minimum of
100 in-service education points during a five-year period shall
be required for renewal of a substitute teaching endorsement.
