The District understands that the Roundhouse is an important facility for students, staff, and the community. We recognize the concern surrounding the damage and are working diligently with experts, including the City of McPherson, to investigate all contributing factors. Our goal is to ensure the long-term protection of the new floor and prevent similar incidents in the future.
We are especially grateful for the efforts of our custodial and maintenance teams, who have responded quickly and worked tirelessly to support the cleanup process. We also want to thank Mr. Shane Backhus, District Activities Director, for his leadership in coordinating alternative arrangements to ensure our student-athletes can continue to prepare for a successful season.
As we learn more, we will continue to share updates with our staff, families, and the broader community.
