Early Childhood Center's Week of the Young Child

The Week of the Young Child™ is an annual celebration sponsored by

the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)

celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers and families.

Here are two great opportunities to celebrate early learning, young

children, their teachers and families:

On April 11 at 6pm at Lincoln Elementary School Dr. Leonard Favara is

the keynote speaker to kick-off The Week of the Young Child. The OZ

Factor: The educational journey is fraught with opportunity and challenge.

To those who stick with the journey, a wondrous world awaits.

Unfortunately, many students never take the journey or become lost

along the way. Using concepts derived from Path-Goal Theory, Stress

Management, and Leadership Theory – participants will take a guided

tour through OZ, applying concepts that can be used to

enhance the educational voyage (personally, parentally, and

professionally). Prepare to take a journey over the rainbow and back

again.

On April 12 The Family Fair 5-6:30pm at the McPherson Community

Building FREE family event hosted by the McPherson County Coalition

for Children and Families (MCCCF).  Bring the entire family and visit

booths of many charitable organizations and groups who serve families

or children.  Find helpful ideas and useful resources for building positive,

happy kids and healthy families from local non-profits & youth serving

organizations.  Fun family event with a free meal, entertainment &

prizes!
