Superintendent Search

The Board of Education is excited to announce Dr. Shiloh Vincent as the next Superintendent of schools In USD 418.

 

The board has engaged in the process of filling the superintendent position for the future of the district.  During the process we utilized KASB to assist with the process. The input from various groups was utilized by the KASB search team. As part of their process, KASB and two experienced KSSA superintendents were used to review the information and contact references.  

 

Our objective was to find the one right person to embrace what McPherson can be and that has a vision to move the district forward with that vision.

 

Dr. Vincent has created a draft vision and transition plan that he will be finalizing with the board to help direct activities that will occur as we move towards the end of June, Mr. Mohn’s retirement and Dr. Vincent’s official start date of July 1st 2020.

Superintendent Search Update
The Board of Education was notified Friday morning that the candidate scheduled for 
Monday morning has accepted a Superintendent position at another district. The Monday interview activities in the district will be cancelled with the next interviews occurring on 
Wednesday and Thursday of next week.

USD 418 Superintendent Search – Spring 2020 

 

On behalf of the Board of Education and McPherson Public Schools, we would like to thank the parents, patrons, educators, and students who participated in the online survey and onsite focus groups to identify characteristics desired in the next superintendent of McPherson Public Schools.

 

The timeline for selecting the successful candidate will be as follows:

  • January 20, 2020 - Applications Due
  • January 23, 2020 - Applicants Screened by the Board
  • February 3 - 7, 2020 - Candidates Interviewed
  • July 1, 2020 - Contract Begins

 

As candidates are narrowed down for the interview process, a brief biography of the candidates will be provided on the district's website and social media outlets. Additionally, as part of the interview process, there will be a portion of time set aside for a community "meet and greet" for each candidate to introduce themselves to the community and learn more about McPherson.
