What will school look like when we return from our extended spring break? Though we won’t be holding class in person, we’ll still make sure our students are learning through what Kansas is calling “Continuous Learning.” Hear more from Ms. McWilliams and Dr. Vincent about the timeline for this new model and when students can expect to be back “in session” in early April.

what was school look like when we come back from spring break that's something that we're still exploring and working out and getting ideas will definitely be engaging teachers in this conversation and other leaders here in the district getting invoice and putting teams together to get curriculum going and instruction going to best serve all of our students teachers return beginning March 23rd trying to turn down the very essential items that we want your students to learn and developing a lesson plans to accomplish that are weak to is we're calling it will be devoted to ironing out we need the logistics as we can and then that following week which we would refer to his week 3 getting things up and then going so that you and your students can be immersed in the very best educational experience so we can offer your kids this unprecedented and historic moment in our state and nation's history learning online or printing out different meetings in and packets in and things like that or or a version of both something Blended but what we will be doing is as looking at individual individual needs in getting those needs met by a probably a blend of of those two who does not end right now I know it feels like that but we are continue continuing with a plan to to learn and you know those things are going to be easy because it's going to look different staying away from friends and being in those hallways it is it's definitely different but we're going to work on a proactive plan that and will get us through and and get what we need in the hands of students and teachers were waiting on a some guidelines from the state from a team of 40 teachers have come together to put some resources and guidelines together for us and so we will be looking at that in the next few days and when we get that we're going to be ready to go and then we're working with our local providers to try to ensure that hotspots exist around the city of McPherson so that if we're doing some online learning you and your students will be able to take advantage of hot spot parking lots as we would call them so that learning can continue to take place despite some of the restrictions that we are experiencing from CDC recommendations kdhe record patience we hope just like you would for anyone else that you owe you approach with the decisions we make with a sense of understanding that you'll and give Grace when possible and we just want you to know that our job as we see it is to body continue to provide the very best for you and your student despite the circumstances were living under if you have questions or concerns or you're wanting to know what decisions are being made we are utilizing our Twitter account at 5418 were using our Facebook page and we're also using our web page if mcpherson.com please navigate to those where attempt were working to provide up-to-date information on a daily basis of course things have been changing it's been a very fluid situation and so often times things are changing more than daily but our goal is to try to continue to provide communication to you directly on those three years
